Accident happened on a stretch of the Nürburgring-Nordschleife track where construction was taking place
It’s not often you get to see a police car on the Nürburgring.
An eight-car pileup on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife track has resulted in several cars being severely damaged. The cars and drivers came from various European countries.
On a stretch of the track where construction was taking place, one driver failed to slow down quickly enough and caused a chain-reaction crash that also resulted in the BMW M3 Ring Taxi being hurtled up against the guard-rail. Most of the cars involved were damaged past the point of being roadworthy.
Police estimate the total property damage at about €100,000.
