What do you get when you combine a dune buggy with an 1,800 hp (1,342 kW / 1,825 PS) Nelson Racing Engine? A heck of a lot of fun.
Built for Bobby Alexander, this off-road racer isn’t lacking in power as it easily pulls wheelies thanks to a twin-turbo 7.0-liter V8. As Tom Nelsen explains, “It’s an absolute blast… it’s pulling a wheelie in fifth gear, at 100 mph (161 km/h), and it’ll flip it over if he [the driver] keeps it down.
2014 Jensen Interceptor announced
The rebirth of an iconic brand
Healey Sports Cars Switzerland (HSCS) has announced plans to unveil a new Jensen Interceptor in late 2012.
Details are limited, but the coupe will be built by CPP Global Holdings and launched in 2014 with an aluminum chassis and a handcrafted aluminum body. Furthermore, HSCS promises the car will be “thoroughly modern interpretation of the four-seat grand tourer originally built between 1966 and 1976.”
