“Vettel victorious as Team RBR-Renault
claim the Constructors’ Championship”
LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Dan Wheldon, who moved to the US from his native England with hopes of winning the Indianapolis 500 and went on to prevail twice at his sport’s most famed race, died on Sunday in a huge, fiery wreck at the Las Vegas Indy 300.
He was 33.
Wheldon, who won the Indy 500 for the second time this May, won 16 times in his IndyCar career and was the series champion in 2005.
Lotus is looking into the future and entering the 2012 CIK-FIA World Karting Championship.
Competing under the Lotus Racing Karts banner, the newly formed team will be operated by Jefra Racing which is based in Treviso, Italy. Furthermore, the drivers will compete in two new kart chassis models ’Colin C30′ and ‘Jimmy C32′ developed by Wildkart in the KF and KZ classes.
